University Prep – Commerce City is currently a PreK program located in the Suncor Boys & Girls Club within the Rose Hill neighborhood and will add its founding Kindergarten class in the fall of 2025.

Our Commerce City campus was founded by an amazing group of local parent leaders who wanted a different elementary school option for their children within the neighborhoods they live in. Launched with Pre-K in 2024-25, the school will grow to a full, pre-K to 5th grade elementary school, adding one grade level per year. At its core, the newest U Prep campus represents parent voice and parent choice in action.

Highlights of our PreK and K Programs at Commerce City

PreKindergarten

Highlights of our PreK and K Programs at Commerce City

Pre-K Program

Provides a tuition-free, full day PreK program from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM for four-year-olds who qualify for 30 hours with Colorado’s UPK Program.

Focuses on whole child development, supporting all children in hitting their development milestones for social, emotional, physical and academic growth.

Language

Honors the native language of Spanish speakers who enter as emerging bilingual students.

Community Partnership

Through a partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, U Prep – Commerce City is located in the Suncor Boys & Girls Club facility.

Major Investment

U Prep invested nearly half a million dollars to construct a brand-new PreK classroom, equipped with all new furniture, technology and curricular materials.

Parent Voice

Further elevating parent voice, founding families chose the play structures for the brand-new, 3,000 sq. ft. playscape, which are being purchased and installed in the 2024-25 school year.

Amazing Facilities

Operating within the B & G Club provides access to a full-size gym, cafeteria and art class – all of which our educators can utilize with our PreK and K scholars.
