TL joined U Prep in 2022. A graduate of Wells College with a Bachelor’s of degree in Sociology and Anthropology, her passion and career in education began over 20 years ago as a teacher’s assistant at the campus’ elementary school.
After a few years of teaching outdoor education and English abroad, TL launched her career in Denver Public Schools 15 years ago as a 2nd and 3rd grade bilingual literacy teacher. She went on to hold positions such as Reading Interventionist and Early Literacy Specialist before her current specializations and roles in Multilingual Education and Gifted and Talented Education.
In her free time, TL can be found embarking on long distance backpacking trips, traveling the world, running, bicycling, skiing, reading, learning languages, and singing with the Denver Feminist Chorus.
